When Skills Leave the Chug

We recently received pictures and messages from parents that perfectly capture what OLT is all about.

One parent shared after their son successfully built a fire on his own: “Thank you for teaching our children outdoor safety and skills. It’s truly nachas.”

Another parent wrote: “Today we were at Park Yarmut, and Moish used the skills he learned in OLT to catch a frog (he released it afterward). Moish thinks it’s a tree frog.”

These moments may seem small, but they’re everything.

They show that the lessons aren’t staying in the chug—they’re coming home. Whether it’s building a fire safely and responsibly or interacting with nature with curiosity and respect, the boys are applying what they’ve learned in real life.

That’s the goal.

That’s growth.

That’s nachas.
