​​Schedule & Age Groups

 

• Groups meet once a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays.

• Ages 8–10 meet at 5:00 PM

• Ages 10.5–13 meet at 7:00 PM
  (Older youth interested in becoming a guide assistant are welcome to contact us.)

• The listed tuition covers one chug per week. When registering, please indicate your preferred day. While we aim to accommodate preferences, we generally do not switch days once the program has begun, except in exceptional circumstances.

 

Dates & Sessions

• The Outdoor Leadership Training program runs throughout the school year and includes 30 sessions, each approximately 90 minutes long. Our published calendar outlines these 30 sessions, along with additional potential makeup days. In case of inclement weather, illness, or travel conflicts, extra sessions may be added to ensure the full 30-session commitment is met.

• Please note: Fishing trips and overnight experiences are not included in the base tuition and will incur an additional charge.

• All chuggim begin after school, following the schedule posted on our website. In the event of rain or other disruptions, sessions will be rescheduled as needed. Substitute guides may be used when regular staff are unavailable.

• Unexpected Cancellations: We follow all Ministry of Health and Home Front Command guidelines. If unforeseen events—such as a government-mandated lockdown—prevent us from delivering the full 30 sessions and makeups are not possible, a prorated refund will be issued based on the number of missed sessions and the amount paid.

Cost

• Thanks to the generosity of our donors, OLT participants enjoy our quality program at a cost similar to other after-school programs in Ramat Beit Shemesh. The actual cost per child is 4,500 ₪. The subsidized tuition is 2,500 ₪ per child, which includes a 200 ₪ registration fee.

• The registration fee covers insurance. The registration fee is refundable only if your child withdraws before the OLT year begins or if a spot is not available in the program.

• Within the first half of the OLT season, if the participant wants to stop, a prorated refund of the remaining sessions will be provided.

• After the midway point, refunds for the remaining sessions will be given only under extenuating circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, injury or family turmoil. OLT holds the right to decide if the circumstances warrant a refund.

 

Scholarships

• We are committed to making OLT accessible to all families. Scholarships are available for those experiencing financial hardship.

• To apply, please submit a letter from your community Rav or Kupah on official letterhead, confirming your current financial situation.

• When applying, you’ll also be asked to indicate the amount of assistance requested, which will be taken into consideration during the evaluation process.

Payment Options & Cancellation Policy

​

• Payments can be made in full or divided into up to 10 installments, with all payments to be completed no later than the end of June of the program year.

• Cancellations will be processed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Law, 5741–1981, and the Consumer Protection (Cancellation of a Transaction) Regulations, 2010.

Trial Session

 

• If you’re unsure whether OLT is the right fit for your son, he is welcome to attend the first session as a trial.
  To continue beyond the trial, the full balance must be paid or a payment plan arranged.

• To guarantee your son’s spot, please complete the registration form above and pay the 200 ₪ registration fee.
  If your son does not continue after the trial, 100 ₪ of the deposit will be refunded.
