Over the past few days, I set up trail cameras in the mountains near our home in Bet Shemesh — and the footage has been amazing.
We’ve spotted mountain gazelles, foxes, jackals, porcupines, hyenas, badgers, and more. Nothing dangerous — just incredible local wildlife living right here in the Judean hills.

The badger pictured above is a common badger. Another species, the honey badger, is far rarer—spotting one in the wild would be a truly once-in-a-lifetime wildlife moment.
